How to get listed

Applying to be listed is a very easy process. Please work your way through the two sections below:

Section 1: Background information

What you are applying for
find a preacher offers churches the opportunity to search for an itinerant preacher, lay preacher or youth speaker. The aim is to connect churches to preachers or speakers. find a preacher makes your details and sample sermon available to anyone who searches in your area - thus making you known to many churches who may otherwise be totally unaware of you.

What do I need to apply?
You will need to write a profile (guidance is given in the application form), a working email address, and you should also also have referees who are happy to supply references. It is highly recommended, although not essential, that you provide a sermon (either on CD or as an MP3*, or if supplying a readable sermon as an Acrobat PDF or Microsoft Word document).

How much does it cost and how long will my details be on find a preacher?
Your listing on find a preacher is free and your details will remain their until further notice.

Updating your listing
Within reason, you can update your details as and when you need. Depending on demand we may automate this process, but currently you will need to send an email to applications@findapreacher.com stating the changes you require.

* find a preacher reserves the right to recompress your audio sermon file to ensure the file size is manageable. We use a compression setting of 16kbps mono. If using itunes to digitise your sermon file, then set the import setting as follows.

Go to the preferences, select 'Advanced', choose 'Import'. Make sure 'Import Using' is set to 'MP3 Encoder' and choose 'Custom...' from the 'Setting' menu. Set the options as follows: Stereo Bit Rate (32kbps); VBR (Yes); Quality (Highest); Sample rate (Auto); Channels (Mono); Stereo Mode (Normal); Smart adjustments (Yes); Filter Freq Below 10Hz (Yes). Unfortunately find a preacher cannot enter into technical support, but we can convert your sermon from CD to MP3 for you at no extra charge.
